Lee Wakemans is pleased to announce that Paul Wong, Director, has joined the newly formed Techniquest Ambassadors’ Group.
The group has been established as Techniquest celebrates 40 years of discovery, education and engagement across Wales. As a leading science discovery centre and educational charity based in Cardiff Bay, Techniquest continues to play an important role in making science, technology, engineering and mathematics accessible, engaging and relevant to people of all ages.
The new Ambassadors’ Group brings together individuals who share a commitment to supporting STEM skills, education, career pathways and wider access to learning opportunities. Ambassadors will help Techniquest celebrate its work, build new partnerships and develop ideas and collaborations that support the charity’s future impact.
Paul’s appointment reflects both his personal commitment to supporting community-focused initiatives and Lee Wakemans’ long-standing relationship with Techniquest. As an organisation, Lee Wakemans has been proud to work with Techniquest across multiple projects over the years, supporting the delivery and development of spaces that contribute to its wider charitable purpose.
Speaking about the appointment, Paul Wong said:
“I am delighted to become an Ambassador for Techniquest. The charity has made a significant contribution to education and engagement across Wales for many years, helping young people and families experience science in a hands-on and inspiring way. Lee Wakemans has had the privilege of working with Techniquest across a number of projects, so I have seen first-hand the value of its work and the positive impact it has on the community. I look forward to supporting the Ambassadors’ Group as Techniquest enters this important milestone year.”
Techniquest reaches over 170,000 people each year through its centre, education programmes, outreach and partnerships. Its work helps to showcase STEM careers, make complex topics more accessible and inspire the next generation of learners, innovators and problem-solvers.
For Lee Wakemans, Paul’s involvement in the Ambassadors’ Group aligns closely with the company’s commitment to supporting organisations that deliver lasting social value. As Techniquest looks ahead to its 40th anniversary celebrations and beyond, Lee Wakemans is pleased to continue supporting the charity’s mission and the positive contribution it makes across Wales.
We congratulate Paul on becoming an Ambassador and look forward to seeing the Techniquest Ambassadors’ Group develop over the coming year.
