Lee Wakemans is serving as Employer’s Agent and Cost Manager for two new operating theatres at Prince Philip Hospital, funded by the Welsh Government with nearly £20 million. The project will enhance surgical capacity, allowing for 24 theatre sessions weekly and approximately 4,600 additional procedures annually, aiding post-pandemic recovery.

Techniquest is set to reopen on October 10, 2020, after a transformative four-year “Science Capital” project that significantly expands its facilities. The project includes 52 new exhibits across five themes, aiming to make science more accessible. Due to COVID-19, visitors must pre-book tickets to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Techniquest submitted a planning application for a 5.7 million Science Capital project to expand its science centre in Cardiff Bay. The project aims to create an additional 900m2 of exhibition space, enhancing Techniquest’s capacity by 60%.
