On September 21, 2017, the Six Degrees networking event at The Classroom in Cardiff was a success, featuring delicious food from Cardiff and Vale College students and entertainment by comedian Rod Woodward. The event raised £445 for Orkidstudio. The next event is scheduled for December at the Cardiff and County Club.

The National Lido of Wales in Pontypridd received a commendation in the Regeneration category at the 2017 RICS awards. The project, managed for Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, features three heated pools, modern changing facilities, and a visitor’s center showcasing the Lido’s history.

On December 13, 2016, it was announced that the first phase of a three-year construction program for General Dynamics UK was completed, refurbishing an office facility in Merthyr Tydfil to accommodate 250 staff. The project, which will support AJAX vehicle assembly, was delivered on time and budget, gaining national media attention.
