Transitional Care Unit, Singleton Hospital, Swansea is a £9.8m healthcare refurbishment delivered for Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Lee Wakemans provided cost management services for the refurbishment and reconfiguration of five Women’s Health wards within a live hospital environment. The works included phased demolition and refurbishment, asbestos removal and the installation of an external steel deck for new air handling units, with additional wards incorporated following a fire, and the project went on to receive a Bronze Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Award in 2020.
