Healthcare Project for Imaging Matters Secures Planning Permission
23rd Jun 2023
Lee Wakemans has had the pleasure of working with diagnostic solution provider, Imaging Matters on a series of projects. Most recently, it has been involved with the multi-modality Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at the Wembley Centre for Health on behalf of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
The centre, which has just secured planning permission, is described as a 'one stop' approach for checks, scans and tests, and will house two MRI and two CT scanners as well as patient and staff accommodation.
David Curzon, Senior Project Manager at Lee Wakemans said, "This is a fantastic project which will benefit people in the area by improving health outcomes for patients with cancer and other serious conditions by delivering a more efficient diagnostic experience.
We are acting as cost managers on the building of the Community Diagnostic Centre for modular medical construction specialists, Medular, who Imaging Matters sub-contracted the building works to.
I am also managing the design team on behalf of Imaging Matters and am working alongside them and the Imperial College NHS Trust team on the delivery of the project. It is expected to reach completion towards the end of 2023."
