GDUK Phase 1 Offices Complete

We are very pleased to report that we recently delivered the first phase of a three-year construction programme for the defence contractor General Dynamics UK. Between December 2015 and July 2016, we undertook the refurbishment and extension of existing office facilities on a site in Merthyr Tydfil, which as a result of the refurbishment will accommodate 250 staff.

The refurbished building provides new office and meeting spaces, a staff canteen, heating and ventilation systems, and associated facilities. It sits adjacent to a manufacturing facility, which we will be refitting under the second phase of the works over the coming 12 months.

Once completed, the facility will be used for the assembly and integration of AJAX armoured fighting vehicles, being produced for the UK Ministry of Defence. We successfully delivered the project on time and on budget under an NEC3 contract in collaboration with Paramount Interiors, Hatcher Prichard Architects, Holloway Partnership and Trafalgar Interiors.
