The waterside Staybridge Suites Hotel is Cardiff’s first ‘apart-hotel’, forming an extension to the existing operational Holiday Inn Express, overlooking the East Dock in Cardiff Bay.
Lee Wakemans acted as Employer’s Agent and Cost Manager for the project, which included demolition works, a ground floor conversion, and the construction of a six storey extension.
The extension includes 73 long-stay apartment suites, a roof terrace with views across the Bay, as well as practical facilities such as a 24-hour convenience store, gym, laundry facilities, and meeting room.
The project commenced in May 2018 and was completed in August 2021.
